Following FCSB's elimination from UEFA Champions League qualifying, the Romanian club's owner launched a scathing attack on his players, but noted that Siyabonga Ngezana is one of the few he cannot fault.
Ngezana’s hopes of playing in the Champions League group stage came to a halt on Wednesday night after his side suffered a 2-1 defeat at home against KF Shkendija in the second leg of their tie.
FCSB were ultimately knocked out 3-1 on aggregate by the Macedonian outfit and will now contest for a place in the Europa League.

The elimination sent owner Gigi Becali into an absolute tirade, as he didn’t hold back his criticism of his players.
“Shame! It’s a huge disgrace! To lose twice in European competition to a Division C team. To lose once is an accident, but twice? This is the biggest disgrace in the history of Romanian football," said Becali, according to Gazetta Sporturilor.
"This is the biggest shame in Romanian football of all time! Because this team, this Shkendija, is so weak. I’ve never seen a team this poor! I’ve been in football for 25 years, but I’ve never seen anything like this."
Becali then added that Ngezana and a few other players were the only ones exempt from criticism for their performances.
"The only player who truly deserves a 'hats off' is Cisotti, that’s it! And Chiricheș. The rest, we don’t have. Okay, and Ngezana. But you can’t win a match with just them. And Bîrligea, who gave everything."
