WATCH: Bafana star scoops award

Soon after scoring Bafana Bafana's opening goal of the 2025 AFCON qualifying campaign, striker Lyle Foster's header for English Championship side Burnley FC against Blackburn Rovers has been voted the club's Goal of Month for August.

Burnley played six matches in the month of August, including scoring 11 goals matches in the process.

However, Foster's header in the derby against rivals Rovers was voted as the Rapidz (club sponsor) best goal of the month.

It was a first for the season for the South African, who has made five appearances so far and will be aiming to top his contribution of five goals and three assists registered last season in the topflight of English football.

Foster's opening goal for Bafana against Uganda on Friday evening at Orlando Stadium was, however, not enough to seal a victory as the match ended 2-2.

The 23 year old is likely to feature once more as Hugo Broos' men take on South Sudan on Tuesday afternoon.
