Amajita and Club Brugge's young star Shandre Campbell has finally opened up on missing out on the U20 Africa Cup of Nations finals held in Egypt.
Campbell was one of the most notable absentees in Raymond Mdaka's team when the South Africa U20 national team lifted the 2025 AFCON title in Egypt.
This comes after Club Brugge could not release him for the tournament, citing issues of him being an important member of the team as they were fighting for a league title.

More so, it is understood that some of the reasons Brugge could not let him go was because the U20 AFCON fell outside of the FIFA calendar.
Amajita, however, went on to win their first-ever AFCON title after beating Morocco 1-0 in the final at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo, thanks to Gomolemo Kekana's sole goal.
Campbell, who has been doing well for Brugge and the club's reserve team Club NXT, has now broken his silence on missing the tournament.
"I was of course gutted but at the same time I had to adhere to the rules that the club gave me," Campbell said Gagasi FM's Extratime.
