SAFA have officially confirmed the deaprture of Ntseki following a meeting in which the parties reached an agreement to 'amicably' terminate the contract.
"The South African Football Association (SAFA) together with coach Molefi Ntseki have officially agreed to part ways amicably, following the senior national team's failure to qualify for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon)," read a statement from the association.
"SAFA would like thank Ntseki for his contribution to the association over the years."
The 51-year-old, who oversaw nine matches since taking over from Stuart Baxter in August 2019, had initially been sacked at a press conference held on 31 March – a few days after Bafana's defeat to Sudan that led to the team missing out on next year's AFCON finals.
The coach's representatives expressed shock at the manner in which the decision was communicated, and it is understood that a dispute arose therefrom.
As per the above statement, communication has since taken place over the past month and the saga has now reached a conclussion, resulting in an 'amicable' split.
