The SuperSport United 'keeper is set to earn his 25th cap at the FNB Stadium in a milestone appearance that will see him overtake Brian Baloyi, Moeneeb Josephs and Rowen Fernandez (all 24 caps) on the country's all-time appearance list.

When he takes to the field, Williams will also become South Africa's fourth most-capped goalkeeper of all time, behind only Hans Vonk, Andre Arendse and former teammate and mentor, Itumeleng Khune.

The 29-year-old made his international debut back in 2014 when he was met with a baptism of fire during a 5-0 friendly defeat to a Neymar-inspired Brazil, before cementing status as the country's undisputed No.1 five years later.

He was named captain earlier this year following Hugo Broos' appointment as national team head coach, replacing Thulani Hlathswayo as the man with the responsibility of wearing the famous armband.
