Where Is He Now: Bennet Chenene

The 2012/13 MTN8 Cup and 2014/15 Telkom Knockout winner confirms that he has now officially retired from playing football as he aims to focus on expanding his management company.

The 38-year-old's last club was Ivory Coast side Williamsville AC.

That move happened after he spent four years searching for a club in South Africa after featuring for Orlando Pirates, SuperSport United and Moroka Swallows.

It was Chenene who helped Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana's younger brother Mzokhona Ngezana join Williamsville.

Chenene says he has decided to go back to his Kasi of Sebokeng where he wants to use his connections within local football to help aspiring footballers.

"At the moment I'm residing in Vaal, in my Kasi." Chenene tells KickOff.

"I'm an agent now who manages players.

"I've got a player from Durban who I might send to SuperSport soon, and he is going to train with the club.

"I've been doing this for about three years now, but that was mainly a build-up through all those years.

"I have officially retired now from playing. I'm tired, so I've decided to use my connections to help other guys realise their dreams.

"My only challenge is funding because you'd find one of my players is needed in Gqeberha, which means I must book a flight, I must book a hotel for that individual."
