After Royal AM were booted out of the PSL, a sports lawyer has confirmed procedure for new Betway Premiership log standings.
After a recommendation by the PSL Executive Committee to the Board of Governors to cancel Royal AM’s membership with the NSL, it has become a foregone conclusion that the club has been kicked out of the league, in the main, for failure to honour fixtures.

The League is yet to effect the decision to expel Royal AM on the standings, with no communication yet on the ramifications to the log.
Lesedi Mphahlele, Attorney and Director at Fairbridges Wertheim Becker Attorneys, has confirmed how the matter will be handled on the amendment of new log standings.
"As a consequence of Royal AM’s expulsion, Article 5.4 of Chapter 1 of the NSL Handbook inevitably
finds application," Mphahlele told KickOff.com.
"This Article provides that should a member club withdraw or be expelled from the league after the start of the season but before the member club concerned has played against every other member club in its division at least once, then all results of that member club will be expunged from the league as if the club had not participated at all.
"Effectively, this means that all victories, losses and draws concerning Royal AM will be set off against any club Royal AM has played against prior to the decision being made.

All 15 teams will end up on 28 matches at the end of the season, to the effect that teams such as Mamelodi Sundowns, Polokwane City, Golden Arrows, and TS Galaxy, who have won against the KZN side, will have three points taken away from them, while one point will be deducted from those who drew with the embattled outfit.
