Sundowns recalls Bafana star

After SuperSport United became the latest PSL outfit to be infected with the 'club buying/selling' syndrome, Mamelodi Sundowns have made a decision about a player they had loaned out.

Ricardo Goss has spent the past few seasons on loan to SuperSport from Sundowns.

The 31-year-old is among a group of players, including Thulani Hlatshwayo and Bradley Grobler, who have stopped training with the newly formed Siwelele FC.

Veteran striker Grobler has since joined Sekhukhune United, whilst Hlatshwayo has been linked with a move to Durban City and could reunite with his former coach, Gavin Hunt, in KwaZulu-Natal.

The Brazilians have already released goalkeeper Sanele Tshabalala to accommodate the return of Goss at Chloorkop.

According to a source at the Tshwane giants, the club is already preparing for life after Denis Onyango, who is expected to hang up his gloves next year.

“Goss signed a five-year contract when he joined from Bidvest Wits. He is still under contract with Mamelodi Sundowns. He has been recalled and is expected to fight for the number one jersey with Ronwen Williams,” revealed the source.

Goss was part of the Bafana Bafana squad that played against Mozambique and Tanzania during the international calendar dates of June.
