Durban City FC and Orbit College have been warned about how they need to go about their business to survive in the dog-eat-dog Betway Premiership world after earning promotion from the second tier.

Orbit College, meanwhile, achieved success via the relegation/promotion play-offs, pipping both Cape Town City and Casric Stars at the post.

Now the real work starts.
"The relegation of Cape Town City, which is very unfortunate, just shows how inconsistent football can be," notes veteran coach Augusto Palacios.
"My free advice to the new teams that have just been promoted to the PSL is that the competition between the PSL (topflight) and the Motsepe Foundation Championship will be different.
"Durban City and Orbit College will need to reinforce their squads big time. With all these signings happening, I don't even think (Mamelodi) Sundowns are fully confident they will win the league.

"You can tell by the way clubs are taking their pre-season so seriously that the PSL is tougher than the Motsepe Foundation Championship. Clubs are even taking their pre-season camps overseas."
The new season is set to begin on August 1 with the quarterfinals of the MTN8, followed by the commencement of league action seven days later.
