The trio were told their services are no longer required by the club recently. However they will remain on the Team of Choice payroll until the end of the season.
"There is nothing sinister," Komphela tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"It's standard procedure that happens to every team. We looked at their contribution between now and June to see if we could still use them and we engaged them as professionals.
"I respect the three of them and they have been great ambassadors of football and I wish them well in their future endeavors," he adds.
Komphela says he will meet with club management at the end of the season to make a proper audit of his squad before deciding on playing personnel to bring into the squad for next season.
