The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at Black Leopards and made a significant impact as the Limpopo side chased promotion.
Lidoda Duvha were said to be keen on keeping Shozi but the KwaZulu-Natal born player has seemingly opted for a club closer to home.
Shozi, who shot to prominence as one of the stand-out players in the 2015/16 season of the MultiChoice Diski Challenge, is joined at United by former FC Cape Town midfielder Andile Khumalo.
He signs a one-year loan deal with the club.
Meanwhile, United have also enlisted the services of former Royal Eagles CEO Richard Makhoba as their new General Manager.
