Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates have both fielded teenagers in the Absa Premiership this season, while Mamelodi Sundowns' youngest player was nearly 22.
Chiefs have prided themselves in developing young talents and promoting these to their first team in recent years, while Pirates not so much, yet the two Soweto giants are some way ahead of Sundowns when it comes to promoting youth.

There have been a total of 12 teenagers to have featured in the domestic premier league this season, with Amakhosi and The Buccaneers each boasting one star.
The likes of Bidvest Wits, SuperSport United and Baroka can each brag of fielding two each, while Maritzburg United, AmaZulu and Highlands all complete the list with one each.

The youngest player to have played a league game this season was 18 years 2 months and 20 days at the time of his maiden appearance in March.
The oldest teenager to have featured for their team this season was Highlands midfielder Thalente Mbatha, who was 19 years 10 months and 2 days at the time of his debut in January.
The Brazilians' youngest player this season has been Phakamani Mahlambi, who was 21 years 11 months and 2 days old when he first featured back in August.
