Ngcobo was a surprise omission from the Bafana Banana squad announced by coach Molefi Ntseki in Johannesburg last week in preparation for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Ghana and Sudan this month.
Ntseki opted to go for more experienced players in defence after also recalling Siyanda Xulu from his club in Israel.
The 26-year-old has had an outstanding season with the Dube Birds after winning five man-of-the-match awards already in his maiden season in the DStv Premiership.
"It's not a surprise at all. The coach has gone for players that believe will do a job and probably still wants Ngcobo to gain more experience," Mogashoa tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"Age is on his side. He will get his chance and must just keep on working hard."
The Dube Birds boss congratulated striker Ruzaigh Gamildien for his call up to the national team squad.
"I am not sure if Ruzagih Gamildien has ever got a chance to play for Bafana Bafana before. This means he made the right decision to join Swallows and revive his career," he adds.
