A Peter Shalulile brace secured a valuable three points for the Brazilians in the defence of their DStv Premiership title.
"I think we're going to waste too much time focusing time on the negatives, and not focusing on what the team is going," Mngqithi said post-match.
"I think as South Africans let's understand that in every family there will always be disagreements and there will always be individual differences.
"But the truth of the matter is that does not mean we are fighting, our job is to make sure that Sundowns win matches.
"If you keep on bringing these past incidents up you will keep focusing on whether there is stability within the team, while we as Sundowns keep getting points.
"The focus should be in the team at this stage because what I think the good job the boys are doing at this stage should be the priority."
Sundowns next visit Swallows FC in a DStv Premiership clash on 3 October.
Kick-off is at 17:30.
