Mamelodi Sundowns are set to move to Limpopo on Tuesday to intensify their preparations for the 2021/22 season.
Sundowns started their pre-season training about three weeks ago when they held their camp at the University of Pretoria high performance centre.
They then moved back to Chloorkop last week, where they played a series of friendly games against several teams, including Pretoria Callies.
The DStv Premiership champions started their pre-season training without the services of defender Ricardo Nascimento, who is recovering from an operation back home in Brazil, while the likes of Aubrey Ngoma and Tiyani Mabunda have been allowed to leave.
"The pre-season training has been going well. The new players are settling very well and the spirit is high in the camp. The club is moving to Polokwane to continue with their preparations for the new season," says a source.
"Ricardo Nascimento is still at home in Brazil after undergoing surgery on his injury."
The Brazilians have signed a number of new players including Bloemfontein Celtic duo Sifiso Ngobeni and Neo Maema, Thabiso Kutumela from Maritzburg United, Grant Kekana from SuperSport United, Divine Lunga from Golden Arrows and Slovakian Pavol Safranko.
Sundowns begin the defence of their league title with a clash against AmaZlu at home on August 20, a few days after their opening clash against Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 quarterfinal.
