Having started the venture together in a joint insurance development in 2001, Chiefs officially secured a sponsorship deal with the company nine years later.
The Kazier Chiefs funeral insurance policy was one of the major success stories over the years which Hollard Chief Marketing Officer Heidi Brauer noted in their official statement.
"Over the years, we have certainly enabled more people to create and secure a better future. And we will continue to do so for all Kaizer Chiefs supporters who already hold Hollard co-branded insurance policies, despite our partnership coming to an end," Brauer said.
"We also want to reassure customers that while our co-branded stores have closed down, our call centre and Hollard branches remain open for any queries."
Jessica Motaung, the Marketing Director of Amakhosi echoed the sentiment and revealed it was a mutual agreement as the Soweto giants look towards new exciting brand partnerships for the future.
"Kaizer Chiefs and Hollard have a long and rich history that spans over a decade of synergistic collaboration which started with providing a trusted and people-centric insurance to our supporters," Motaung said.
"Over time the partnership developed into a sleeve sponsorship and a cutting-edge entrepreneurial collaboration which saw us opening seven KC branded retail and insurance stores across the country in 2017.
"It has been a very interesting journey which has helped shape and evolve our Club, our retail approach and our thinking about insurance and delivering a one-stop-shop to our supporters that gives them peace of mind knowing that their family needs have been looked after when they are no longer there."
Motaung wished Hollard the best for the future and further thanked them for their contributions towards the development of the Chiefs brand during their fruitful relationship.
