Revoredo died from an undisclosed illness on Wednesday morning at the Life Bedford Gardens Hospital in Bedfordview.
Revoredo was rushed to hospital on Sunday complaining of excruciating pain in his abdomen. Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated on Tuesday and he eventually succumbed despite significant medical intervention.
Chiefs said on Twitter: "We are sad to announce the sudden passing of GK Coach, Alexandre Revoredo. A mentor, A trainer, A father, A Soldier.#RememberingAlex."
Revoredo, 57, joined Chiefs in June 2016, having previously spent four years with Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates.
The Brazilian arrived in South Africa in 2007 to work as a keeper coach when Julio Leal was in charge at AmaZulu.
Revoredo also worked with the national team and Golden Arrows.
