Kaizer Chiefs FIFA transfer ban appeal dismissed by Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)

Kaizer Chiefs have received the outcome of the appeal against their FIFA-issued transfer ban.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport has dismissed the Soweto club's appeal, meaning the DStv Premiership side will remain unable to sign players during the current transfer window.

Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung will be unable to sign new players for the next two transfer windows, with July 2021 now the earliest that new registrations can be made.

Former Bidvest Wits left-back Sifiso Hlanti has been training with Amakhosi in the hope that the ban would be overturned, with his future for the 2020/21 season now uncertain.

Chiefs had also been linked with moves for ex-Wits stars Phathutshedzo Nange, Kgaogelo Sekgota and Buhle Mkhwanazi.
