Chiefs are already eyeing the 2021/22 campaign and have been identifying their targets to bolster the squad once their FIFA transfer ban is lifted in July.
Amakhosi released Siphelele Ntshangase last week Friday and have now set their sights on signing exciting midfielder Saziso Magawana of Uthongathi FC.
"Kaizer Chiefs are very interested in signing Magawana from Uthongathi FC," a source close to the club tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"There have been formal talks with Chiefs registering their interest to sign the player. The deal could be concluded soon."
Gavin Hunt will only be able to register his new signings in July this year when the next registration period opens.
Amakhosi are expected to overhaul their squad at the end of the season and ship out the deadwood to make space for fresh faces.
