Grant Margeman's agent to meet with Mamelodi Sundowns

The 23-year-old former South Africa youth international has made only three appearances in all competitions since moving from Ajax Cape Town – now Cape Town Spurs – to the DStv Premiership champions last year.

His contract with Sundowns is believed to be expiring on June 30, 2025.

Asked whether the player will opt to stay and fight for his position at Chloorkop or be looking to find game-time elsewhere, his agent Ntobatsi Masegela tells snl24.com/kickoff: "I can't comment on that currently, because I haven't met with the club.

"So, we have to sit and then we'll see the way forward, you know. I can just comment on that, I really, really can't comment further. We will just see what happens.

"But obviously, the boy has to be playing because the most important thing now is his focus on the World Cup, we need him back in the Bafana Bafana squad.

"Yes, we need game-time but we will see how my conversation with the club goes. I will be sitting with the club very soon, and then we will see a way forward."

Masegela further refused to confirm the exact length of Margeman's contract with The Brazilians.

"[Laughs] that's confidential my brother, but obviously we are really looking for game-time next season, it's a really important season for him because last season he didn't do anything," he says.

"There is nothing we can write home about for last season regarding him, you know. Obviously, if there's a conversation we have to have with the club, it has to be on game-time."
