Bidvest Wits are assessing a former Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United left-back.
Sibusiso Khumalo signed a one-year deal with National First Division side Ajax Cape Town last season following his release from Soweto giants Chiefs, but only managed six appearances for the Urban Warriors.
Khumalo's contract with Ajax expires next week and he's on the search for a new home ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
The Stars of Africa Academy development product has only done well for Moroka Swallows and SuperSport, but struggled a bit when he played for bigger sides Mamelodi Sundowns and Chiefs. He has not really been able to fulfil his potential and he'll be hoping the Clever Boys give him an opportunity to play.
If he is signed, there will be tough competition from Bafana Bafana left-back Sifiso Hlanti, who is probably one of the first names on coach Gavin Hunt's starting line-up.
