At 36, and having played for the likes of Bloemfontein Celtic, AmaZulu FC, Ajax Cape Town, Chippa United, Moroka Swallows, and Royal AM, can he still do it in the elite division?

"I'm not aiming for the Golden Boot, I'm just focusing on staying healthy and being able to play," he says emphatically, speaking to KickOff.com.

"It's the younger players who should be competing for the Golden Boot. I’m playing without any pressure, and I’m just happy to be back.

"Last season, I scored seven goals, so perhaps I'll aim for eight this time. Nowadays, scoring eight goals can open doors to any of these local big teams.

"There are players who scored fewer than eight goals and still moved to bigger clubs. So, eight goals can take you to the big clubs," he added.

Regarding his future with the club, the Cape Town-born star admitted he is unsure yet.

"Of course, we want to compete at the highest level, but we also need to ensure that we secure our status in the league."
