Kadodia on Hunt: I can't speak to him...

Durban City FC chairman Farook Kadodia has had his say over the links with Gavin Hunt, with the man who turns 61 next week set to be unveiled as the elite division returnees' new head coach.

As exclusively revealed by KickOff on Tuesday morning, Durban City have made their choice in Hunt and all that remains is official confirmation of the deal.

His last role was with SuperSport United last season, where a decision to part ways was made after a challenging period of a lack of positive results.

This publication had also revealed that Hunt, along with Owen Da Gama, had been shortlisted for the job and was the clear favourite among those contesting for the post.

Furthermore, one of the coaches the Motsepe Foundation Championship champions were linked with, Clinton Larsen, joined Venda Football Club.

In an interview with this website, Kadodia confirmed his interest in Hunt but noted that no formal discussions had taken place yet.

"So far, there's nothing I can tell you about Gavin Hunt, as I can't speak to him at the moment since he has gone to London," said Kadodia.

Throughout his coaching career, the well-travelled mentor has won four league titles and three cup competitions.
