Clinton Larsen to drill Polokwane City from Boxing Day

Rise and Shine are currently sitting at the bottom of the log with only 13 points after 15 games this season, with their previous coach Zlatko Krmpotic having been sacked last month.

The Polokwane-based club is set to welcome Chippa United at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in their first game of the New Year on January 4, with new coach Clinton Larsen looking to stick it to his former employers.

Larsen says there is no time to relax under the current situation of the club, as he hauled his players back to the pitch on Boxing Day.

"We are back on the 26 and training on 27, 28, 29, 30; we are also training on New Year's Eve, and only getting off again on January 1" Larsen tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"There is no time for holidays when you are in the situation that we are currently in. It's time to work very hard to turn things around as quickly as possible."

The former Orlando Pirates midfielder revealed that his team will be looking to add a couple of new signings during the transfer window period in January.

"I can't give names. You know the moment you start mentioning names, other teams are alerted about players' availability, so we can't divulge names. But we are close to securing one or two in January," he added.
