The former University of Pretoria striker was recently handed his clearance after a marathon contract wrangle fighting for his release from Chloorkop.
Reed, who is the son of former Kaizer Chiefs striker Benjamin Reed, is reported to have attracted interest from Siwelele and could be in the green and white stripes next season.
"There has been contact. The negotiations are set to start as soon as possible after the Nedbank Cup final," a close source reveals to snl24.com/kickoff.
Reed's manager Machine Motloung believes it is too early to start talking about his client's next move in his football career.
"We just received his clearance," he says. "We are going to sit down and look for options in the next few days."
