The English striker, who has scored five goals in five matches for Wits since he joined the Clever Boys last month, missed the win over Golden Arrows on Saturday, which took the Bramfontein-base side to second on log table.
Hunt, whose side start their CAF Confederation Cup campaign this coming weekend, couldn't reveal the specific injury suffered by Keene, who looks set to miss a second game in a row.
"He is injured," said Hunt, who also confirmed that he won't play against Chiefs.
"I don't think so... I don't think so."
Keene tried his luck at Naturena under his compatriot Stuart Baxter midway through last season, but he was not signed by the Soweto giants.
The 30-year-old, who destroyed Polokwane City by scoring a ‘perfect hat-trick’, adds to Wits’ injury list which includes Nazeer Allie, Papy Faty, Phumlani Ntshangase, Onismor Bhasera and Vincent Pule.
