Deon Hotto's celebrations in lifting his fourth MTN8 title at Orlando Pirates came with accomplishments which gave him every right to stand on the trophy podium once fireworks went off.
On Saturday, Hotto played 90 minutes yet again as has become custom of him at Pirates.

His effort from a dead ball was the reason why the side found the equaliser just before the break.
Hotto's low hit was parried by Sage Stephens onto the path of Monnapule Saleng, who gladly finished.
Then, early in the second half, the Namibian came good with a training ground routine, beating his marker to a Patrick Maswanganyi lay-off, before watching in dismay as his attempt came off the upright.
Hotto was buzzing all evening as he maintained his place as one of only three players that have been on the pitch for every minute along with Sipho Chaine and Patrick Maswanganyi in all 11 matches played by the Soweto giants to date.
Further than that, Hotto is the only player at Bucs that has featured in every MTN8 game played by the club through lifting their last four titles in this competition.
Pirates have been MTN8 champions in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024, and for Hotto, he has been involved in all 16 matches.
The MTN8 was the first trophy that the 33-year-old won in 2020 playing in all four games under Josef Zinnbauer.
In Jose Riveiro's first MTN8 success, he played all four, then again last year, and has done the same this year to emerge as the only player to have featured in all the 16 games.

Even when the Houghton-based outfit came stuck in the quarterfinals of the 2021 edition, Hotto played in that defeat to Moroka Swallows.
The new deal on offer at Pirates will come at the back of having been involved in 177 of the 191 games played by the club since he joined in September 2020.
