Orlando Pirates Bayern Munich FIFA Club World Cup

The Buccaneers will qualify for the tournament by winning the CAF Champions League and will then represent the Africa in the first tournament to be played on the African continent.

They will have a first round clash against the winner of the Asian Champions League, which has yet to be determined, on December 14 in Agidir, the same venue where Bafana Bafana take on Morocco in an international friendly tomorrow night.

Victory in that game will see them face off against European champions Bayern Munich in the semifinals in what will be arguably the biggest match in the club’s history.

In the other half of the draw are Brazilian side Atletico Mineiro, winner of the 2013 Copa Libertadores, who along with Bayern will be favourites for the title.

Mexican side Monterrey are representing the CONCACAF region and Auckland City Oceania. Moroccan league champions Raja Casablanca have also been entered as representatives of the host nation.
