Chiefs defender Aden McCarthy has now joined P Management Sports Agency.
The agency confirmed the news on their Instagram profile, welcoming the 21-year-old, who was also part of the Kaizer Chiefs reserve team who won the 2024/25 Multichoice Diski League.
Impressively, McCarthy also made his Amakhosi senior team debut when he started in a 1-1 draw against Sekhukhune United on 17 May.
Notably, the player is the son of ex-Cheifs defender Fabian McCarthy.
Nevertheless, joining a sports agency can be interpreted as a sign in the right direction, as it suggest that players are aiming to improve their prospects as a professional footballer.
McCarthy also earned his first Bafana Bafana call-up when he was selected for Molefi Ntseki's team for the 2024 African Nations Championship.
In an interview with Daily Sun, McCarthy expressed how proud he was to represent his country.
"Getting a Bafana Bafana call-up showed me that there's always light at the end of the tunnel," he said.
"It's said that to be in a big club like Kaizer Chiefs comes with a lot of attention. That's
why it's important to stay focused, especially when navigating relationships, as not
everyone may have genuine intentions, in what some call chasing to be a 'Diski diva'."
