Bucs teammate speaks on Tito' penalty miss: 'You will see a different Tito'

Orlando Pirates midfielder Makhehlene Makhuala has thrown his support behind teammate Patrick Maswanganyi following a his missed penalty during a 1-0 defeat to Cape Town City.

Ezimnyama Ngenkani suffered only their second league defeat of the season as Cape Town City's Darwin Gonzalez - who netted the winner against Kaizer Chiefs just three days prior - found the back of the net in the 76th minute at DHL Stadium.

What made the defeat more agonizing for the Buccaneer faithful is that their side had received plenty of chances to score. The best chance came  just for minutes before CIty's goal when Patrick Maswanganyi missed a spotkick.

The midfielder was visibly; distraught at full-time and broke down to tears. Makhaula though believes 'Tito' will bounce back by the time the next fixture comes around.

"Tito is always emotional when he's playing," Makhaula told journalists at the Nedbank Cup draw, where Pirates have been drawn against Richards Bay.

"He's someone who has a [big] heart. He is not like me who is going to miss and then get over it.

"He's still young and I think for me, all I can say is it's okay.

"If he starts [the next game], I think you're going to see a different Tito who has forgotten about last night.

"A penalty is a penalty and everyone can miss a penalty."
