Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou wants his players to be more consistent throughout the encounter following their 1-0 win over Orbit College.
An impressive goal from Lebone Seema in the second half gave the Buccaneers their second league win of the season on Tuesday night.

“Yes, happy with the win after. We were a bit tired and made some changes, but I have to congratulate this team of Orbit as well. I told you that it will not be easy because they have this dynamic of being promoted to the PSL so it was not easy. We know now with the PSL there’s no small teams,” Ouaddou told SuperSport TV.
However, the coach wasn’t happy with their first half display and how they weren’t able to keep the ball in midfield therefore introduced Sipho Mbule, Thalente Mbatha and Nkosikhona Ndaba at the start of the second half.
“We wanted to keep the ball and to pass around the ball in the first half, things we didn’t achieve so I decided to bring some players that will be able to keep the ball in the middle and to play forward and able to play the last pass and it’s what we needed you know because we were really behind the ball in the first half, it was not the plan,” Ouaddou said.
Given the upward momentum, the Buccaneers coach added that they aren’t the finishing article as yet and still resemble a club that is in two phases currently.
“It’s really an interesting question; I think we still have two phases of Orlando Pirates. I cannot say we are consistent. My aim is to have like the second half – like the second half of Mamelodi Sundowns in the first-leg,” Ouaddou said.
“Like to have this rhythm, comfort to give the ball and be able to last third to create chances and be efficient in the last third because again today we created some chances but if we want to reach the top of the log, we have to be more efficient in the last third.
“But the positive point today is we have the clean-sheet again so it gives confidence to the guys that we have to keep building than the second half for the next game,” he added.
