TS Galaxy made it back-to-back wins in the Betway Premiership with a 2-0 over Siwelele FC on Tuesday night.
The Rockets were given a big boost before the encounter after it was revealed that their transfer ban had been lifted, meaning the club were officially able to register their new signings.
At the other end, Siwelele coach Lehlohonolo Seema gave a start to Thakasani Mbanjwa in goals ahead of Ricardo Goss, while Nyiko Mobbie and Thabo Makhele were also recalled following the loss to Polokwane City last week.
It took a while for both teams to get going, but it was Galaxy who broke the deadlock on 22 minutes as Seluleko Mahlambi opened his account for the season by heading home from close range after Siwelele were unable to defend the corner.
Galaxy doubled their lead on the stroke of halftime when a swift counter-attack ended with Puso Dithejane teeing up Mahlambi, who sent a fine finish into the far corner to complete his brace.
Siwelele made a change at the start of the second half as Gape Moralo made way for Grant Margeman, who was making his second appearance of the season.
The hosts were still vulnerable to counter-attacks as the game went on, after Mahlambi nearly completed his hat-trick after the hour mark but he fired wide of Mbanjwa's goal.
Galaxy, meanwhile, made a couple changes with 25 minutes left on the clock as new signing Junior Zindoga made his debut by replacing Mahlambi, while Nhlanhla Mgaga wade way for Qobolwakhe Sibande.
The Rockets were able to see out the closing stages with relative ease to claim their second win of the campaign and their first clean sheet.
