Reeve Frosler feels changing Kaizer Chiefs' approach is a risk

Kaizer Chiefs defender Reeve Frosler has discussed the risk associated with changing their approach to try and appease their critics.

Chiefs have faced plenty of criticism in recent times over their monotonous style of play, which is beginning to falter as opponents have seemingly sussed them out – as seen in their league defeat to Maritzburg United last weekend.

With many calling for a 'Plan B', Frosler feels that the solution is perhaps not to change but rather to focus on strengthening it, as trying something new may just backfire.

"I think at this point [of the season], a lot of teams know what the opposition has up their sleeves and things like that. It's just, we've got to make our strengths and even stronger, and try to strengthen our weaknesses," said Frosler.

"But [to change the approach], I suppose it would be a risk that might work or might not work for you. If you stick to what you know, what we've been doing, it might continue working for us.

"So, we don't want to tweak too much, but we also want to go in there positively, knowing that what we've been doing has been working for us, so let's just keep working and going at it."

Amakhosi will this afternoon hope their approach works in order to overcome Highlands Park in their Nedbank Cup Last 16 encounter at a sold-out Makhulong Stadium.
