Lennox Bacela and Letsie Koapeng were the goalscorers in a match pitting last season’s Nedbank Cup champions against a Ke Yona team search outfit compiled by the likes of Shakes Mashaba and Owen da Gama.
Pirates dominated the first half, with Lehlohonolo Maselesa coming close early on, before Bacela gave the Buccaneers the lead just before the break after Kamohelo Mabuya's shot had come back of the woodwork.
Bacela and Thamsanqa Gabuza came close early in the second half before the second goal came in time added on – Koapeng making no mistake for the goal.
