“It’s nice to have drawn Ajax Cape Town and our advantage is that we are playing at home and we won’t disappoint our supporters,” Aphane tells snl24.com/kickoff.
“We are going to work hard like we are doing in the league; so the same spirit from the league will go to the Nedbank Cup.”
KwaDukuza United were formed at the start of the 2016/17 season after Sanele Zondi, who is the club owner, bought the status of Natal United.
Aphane was part of the Natal United team that defeated Chippa United 4-2 on penalties in 2015 in the Nedbank Cup. The midfielder says the changes in the team won’t affect them and they are ready to upset the Urban Warriors in Durban.
“It won’t be a problem [facing Ajax] because most of the players we have are from Natal United [who have played in this tournament before] so I don’t think we will have a problem.”
