Gift Links says Cape Town City are ready for SuperSport United assault in the Nedbank Cup

The two clubs will square off for a fourth time this season, with City in the pound seats after beating their Pretoria rivals twice in the league, and then again on penalties in September’s MTN8 final.

In-form winger Links, who scored twice in his side’s last encounter, a 5-0 humbling of Free State Stars, feels City are well prepared for this encounter as they look to grab a second cup trophy of the 2018/19 campaign.

“We have played them three times already, so we know what to expect come Saturday,” he told reporters. “It’s possible for us to go all the way and win the trophy, but we’ll take it one game at a time.”

The 20-year-old aims to keep his team’s good record against Matsatsantsa intact, and hopes home advantage will work in their favour.

“We know it’ll be a tough game as we’ve beaten them three times already, so they’ll want revenge,” he said. “But we’re playing at home so it won’t be easy for them. We’ll try our best. I think we if we keep working hard, we can keep that momentum going.”

Kick-off at Cape Town Stadium is set for 20h15.
