Have a look inside Kaizer Chiefs Village after the club once again opened its doors to the media ahead of their Nedbank Cup last 16 fixture this weekend.

Chiefs hosted another media day before their do-or-die tie against Highlands Park at a sold-out Makhulong Stadium on Saturday afternoon (15h00).

Amakhosi presented coach Ernst Middendorp as well as defensive duo Daniel Cardoso and Reeve Frosler for interviews, with the major topic being their juggling of the league title race and the cup.

Their defeat to Maritzburg United may have cut their lead at the top of the log standings to six points – potentially just four if Mamelodi Sundowns win their catch-up fixture this evening, but the camp remains upbeat.

The club still have the dark cloud of their worst ever trophy drought of five years hanging over their heads and the players are eager to take one more step closer to bringing an end thereto with the scalp of the Lions of the North this weekend.

Middendorp boasted a clean bill of health ahead of the fixture, with only Joseph Molangoane having sat out of the session in his training sneakers on Wednesday morning.
