Dylan Kerr praises Black Leopards' strike-force

Kerr’s amazing run for Leopards continued following their Nedbank Cup last 32 triumph against the Buccaneers on Saturday evening.

“At the end of the day, you are only one goal behind and with the strikers and players we got we can always create chances. (Mwape) Musonda is on form, it’s not about penalties anymore," Kerr told SuperSport TV.

“We got to respect Orlando Pirates. They are a good team. They are a very experienced team and one of the better teams in the PSL.

“It was a cup final for us today and I just said ‘be patient’.

“In the first half, we took the game to them. In the second half, because we kept our energy levels so high, sometimes we overcomplicate things when we should keep things simple especially in the first half.

“In and around the penalty area our decision-making was wrong. But the energy and the effort and enthusiasm my players showed all the way to the 120 minutes, its brilliant that we won on penalties.

“It’s a sad lottery. I feel sorry for coach (Milutin Sredojevic) Micho and the fans of Pirates. I thought it was an entertaining Nedbank Cup tie, a proper football tie."
