Dan Malesela hopes floodgates open for TS Galaxy following rout of Ajax Cape Town in Nedbank Cup qualifier

The Kameelrivier-based outfit gave the former PSL side a 5-2 drubbing to book their place in the Nedbank Cup last 32 together with 16 Absa Premiership teams and eight amateur clubs.

"Ja, like I said, what we've been gunning for, at least we are trying to achieve," Malesela told snl24.com/kickoff.

"You know the issue of scoring goals ... we scored five, hopefully it's a start of being goal-orientated. So we are looking forward to scoring goals. I'm also pleased that we introduced a youngster, 19-year-old Tshego Nyama. And in his first game he created two goals and scored one. It's a very good thing.

"I'm just not pleased with us conceding goals right at the end of the match, it shows a bit of ill-discipline. So hopefully these things will be rectified. We need to discipline some of our players because some of the things which we did are uncalled for, so we'll see.

"But you need to be positive with what happened and what the result is all about. It takes us to the next level, but we must take this into the league as well.

"Next is Stellenbosch, we need to focus on that and see what we can do."

Galaxy, in 12th place on the NFD table with 13 points from 12 games, will host log leaders Stellenbosch FC in the league on Sunday.
