Allan Freese: Kaizer Chiefs must deal with yellow cards

Amakhosi are set to visit Highlands in the Nedbank Cup last 16 at Makhulong Stadium on Saturday (15h00) with Lebogang Manyama, Daniel Cardoso and Reeve Frosler sitting on three yellow cards.

If any of them pick up a yellow card against the Lions of the North, they will miss the big Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates at FNB Stadium next Saturday.

Mamelodi Sundowns ensured Hlompho Kekana, Sibusiso Vilakazi, Mosa Lebusa and Gaston Sirino all received their fourth cautions against Bloemfontein Celtic in midweek to allow them to miss the Nedbank Cup game against VUT on Sunday.

All four players were sitting on three yellow cards before the game against Celtic but will now be available for their next league match against Cape Town City away, which is likely to be moved as it is situated between two fixtures against Al Ahly.

Freese says his team will not have the specific intention of applying tricks against the likes of Manyama, Cardoso and Frosler to keep them uncomfortable with the yellow cards.

"That's not fair. We cant go at them, it's not fair," said Freese.

"Chiefs would have to find a way how they sort out these players with three yellow cards. It's up to them."

Highlands will be without the services of Mothibi Mvala due to suspension after he picked up his fourth booking in their last league match against Bidvest Wits.
