The Urban Warriors played out to a 1-1 draw against Bidvest Wits in their MTN8 semi-final, first leg, but the incident after the match made all the headlines.
De Sa was outraged after the match and was seen gesticulating that Siwela had allegedly showed him the middle finger. There was also an angry exchange of words between the pair after the final whistle.
Asked whether there has been any decision on the matter, PSL media spokesperson Lux September says they are still studying the report, adding: “We will say something if there is a need to say something.”
SAFA head of referees Peter Sejake explains the process to snl24.com/kickoff: "What would normally happen is that the referee would report the incident and then, from the contents of the report, SAFA and/or the PSL would come up with measures that needs to be taken."
Sejake adds that if the referee didn't report the incident, it will be up to the PSL to address the issue: “I think the League is best positioned to address that. We will only act upon the submission that will be done by the referee or the assistant referee.”
