Daine Klate wants three points for Wits against Maritzburg

Wits are looking to bounce back to winning ways following the 4-2 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns over the weekend.

Klate, who notched up a brace against Downs, says the game against the Team of Choice tonight is their main priority, and not the second leg of the cup tie against Ajax Cape Town on Sunday.

“We first have to look at the Maritzburg United game,” Klate says.

“We can't think of the second leg [against Ajax Cape Town] but it is in the back of our minds. We're fully focused on getting three points first against Maritzburg first and then we can think about the second leg against Ajax.”

Clever Boys coach Gavin Hunt is taking positives from the 4-2 drubbing heading into their game against an unpredictable Maritzburg side.

“We'll have a go again. If we play like that [against Sundowns] we're not going to lose too many games. Hopefully a few decisions will go our way.”
