Bloemfontein Celtic to target Kaizer Chiefs defence

Larsen says they need to keep it tight against Amakhosi to have the advantage going to the second leg at FNB Stadium.

“It’s a game everyone at the club is looking forward too,” the coach tells snl24.com/kickoff. “We know the game is important for the club; we want to reach the Final.

“It will be difficult playing against Chiefs, who are the defending champions of this competition. But being a two-legged match, we need to take an advantage into the second leg, which means making sure we don't concede at home.”

Larsen says they will also be targeting the new Chiefs defence, who conceded three goals against Maritzburg United in the quarter-final.

“That will be our intention; they are not settled and neither are we. Some of the players are still trying to settle in and we need to capitalise on that.

“But it is not only Chiefs, all the teams are still finding combinations. As the season goes on a lot of teams will get stronger and it will be competitive.”

Larsen is also pleased to have Helder Pelembe available for this match after he received his work-permit and adds that another new signing, Geofrey Massa, should get his before the match.

“We are slowly getting our players back. The last two games we only had Lerato Lamola, so now having Massa and Pelembe will add to our advantage.”
