With Cape Town Spurs having suffered relegation for a second successive season, conversations around Kaizer Chiefs going back to 'fetch' talented star Asanele Velebayi have resurfaced.
As it stands, Spurs have been relegated from to the ABC Motsepe League, which makes Chiefs' long-time target Velebayi a free agent.

Having worked with the 22-year-old on a daily basis this past season, Mhlongo says he possesses the quality needed to succeed.
"I don't believe it's tough to play for one of the Big Three teams. Even when I joined Mamelodi Sundowns at the young age of 25, it was manageable," the former defender offers.
"When you find yourself in an environment where the coaching staff is willing to teach and guide you, and your teammates are supportive and protective, that's when you can thrive.
"Should a player be ready to join a big team? Are we signing players based on readiness, or purely on talent?
"Unfortunately, Kaizer Chiefs let go of all their senior players, who could have guided the youngsters. These senior players could have helped the young talent understand what is necessary for their adjustment.
"Lucas Radebe succeeded because Neil Tovey was there to guide him. Siphiwe Tshabalala had mentors like 'Tsiki-Tsiki' [Thabo Mooki] to support him. Hendrick Ekstein was supposed to be nurtured and supported, but he was left to figure things out on his own," adds Mhlongo.
The Alexandra-born man says before he joined Orlando Pirates, Oupa Manyisa faced challenges playing in every available position, but he helped 'Ace' adjust.
"It’s essential to start by playing simply to understand how everyone moves.

"Velebayi is similar to Ashley Du Preez - both need guidance. They possess speed and technique. If I could have a conversation with Du Preez, I believe his performances would improve significantly.
"What they need is a coach and a technical team that will guide them in making the necessary adjustments."
It remains to be seen if Amakhosi will reignite their interest in the winger ahead of next season.
