KickOff understands that Mokeke's move to Baroka was recommended by head coach Dan Malesela, who is focused on strengthening his team with experienced players.

Sources indicate that Mokeke has signed a one-year deal with the Lebowakgomo-based club.

In the goalkeeping position, Baroka has already brought in South African international Mondli Mpoto. In defence, they have 36-year-old Namibian international Ananias Gebhardt, and they are currently seeking an experienced, proven goalscorer.

According to insiders, the Motsepe Foundation Championship club is also interested in adding Ruzaig Gamaldien for the 2025/2026 season.

Gamaldien remains a free agent following his release by the newly promoted Betway Premiership side, Durban City FC. It was his goals and experience upfront that helped Durban City gain automatic promotion to the PSL.
