Terrence Mashego’s future at Mamelodi Sundowns appears increasingly uncertain, with growing indications that the defender could be on his way out to a fellow Betway Premiership side.
Mashego joined the Brazilians in 2022 from the then top-flight club Cape Town City, arriving with high expectations. However, his time at Chloorkop has not gone as expected.

The 29-year-old left-back has struggled with recurring injuries and stiff competition for a place in the team.
Currently, Sundowns boast at least five left-backs, namely, Aubrey Modiba, Devine Lunga, Asekho Tiwani, and the recently joined Faawaz Basadien, who adds even more depth to an already congested position.
Despite delivering impressive performances for Molefi Ntseki’s Bafana Bafana during the recently ended CHAN competition, Mashego is reportedly not part of head coach Miguel Cardoso's plans at Masandawana.
Sources have now indicated that Mashego could be heading to Durban City on loan, with Gavin Hunt’s side keen to bolster their defensive options.
Moreso, two other local clubs are also said to be monitoring the player’s situation closely.
"A loan move to Durban City is one of the possibilities Terrence and his management are looking at," a source revealed.
"The issue is that they were waiting for him to come back from CHAN, and then look for a team because he's not playing, and it's clear he is not on coach Miguel Cardoso's plans.

"But definitely, he is not staying at Sundowns as I said City are one of the teams who want him. I am also told that Siwelele and Sekhukhune were also willing to sign him on loan.
"Then about the Kaizer Chiefs rumours, his camp hasn't engaged with them regarding any transfers, that potential deal is no longer there anymore."
