Ugandan goalkeeper Ismael Watenga will spend yet another season on loan as his return to Mamelodi Sundowns continues being delayed.
Watenga spent the past campaign (2022/23) out on loan at Marumo Gallants where he was relegated to second-choice by Washington Arubi and ultimately made a mere five appearances.

The season before Watenga was out at Chippa United where he played 10 games.
While out at Chippa, the lanky keeper played 24 games and had an encouraging start in his second season keeping goals in the opening seven league games before disaster struck when he conceded four against Kaizer Chiefs.
Having now had a feel of domestic football for three years in a row while on loan, Watenga must now spend another season out at Golden Arrows.

Arrows have confirmed the 28-year-old amongst their latest arrivals after having been training with the club for days.
Watenga is joined by Nhlanhla Zwane at the Arrows entrance.
The goalkeeper department situation at Arrows had Nkosingiphile Gumede, Sifiso Mlungwana, and Siyabonga Mbatha sharing the responsibility last term.
At Sundowns, minus Watenga the club has Ronwen Williams, Denis Onyango, Reyaa Pieterse, and Jody February for this season with Ricardo Goss still out on loan at SuperSport United.
