Gomora United boss Joe Seanego has hailed his players for their attitude and strong character to help the team secure promotion despite not being paid their salaries for last month.
Gomora were crowned ABC Motsepe League champions after beating The Bees by 2-1 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday, having also secured their place in the Motsepe Foundation Championship for next season.

The Gauteng-based outfit finished the ABC Motsepe National Play-Offs without defeat.
They are set to be joined by The Bees and Midlands Wanderers in the second tier next season.
Seanego has confirmed he won't be selling Gomora United despite the financial challenges faced by the club before the play-offs.
“The chunk of money must go to the players because I owe them their salaries of last month. That’s an honest truth, I owe them salaries for last month,” Seanego tells KickOff.com.
“Tough situations sometimes create strong people. They came here and I told them the situation. We don’t have money, let’s focus. The cases took a large chunk of our money from own pocket.
“I am happy they understood, and I believe their achievement today is bigger than money,” he explained.

Despite the financial challenges, Seanago has revealed he won't be selling his team and intends to use Makhulong Stadium as their home venue for this coming season.
“No, I am not selling the club. I tried with Beberwa. I tried with Gomora in 2020 and it didn’t work out, but God timing is always right and also patience is power,” said a beaming Seanego.
