With Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Lesiba Nku reportedly on the verge of joining Stellenbosch, other signings made by former coach Rulani Mokwena would be looking for greener pastures at the club.
Following Mokwena's acrimonious departure from Sundowns, it emerged that one of the biggest issues that caused a fallout between Sporting Director Flemming Berg and the Soweto native coach was allegedly the transfer of Thembinkosi Lorch in January last year from Orlando Pirates, as Berg was reportedly not in favour of it.

The centre of the difference of opinion between the Dane and the 38-year-old coach was the incoming and outgoing of transfers, as certain players such as Bongani Zungu were also not retained after Mokwena was relieved of his duties.
Ahead of the new 2024/25 season, the attention shifted to Lorch and whether he would find game time without a coach who fought for him to be at Sundowns.
Since his return to injury, the former PSL Footballer of the Season has been struggling for minutes on the pitch and recently has not been making the squad (not on the official list of injured players), last featuring for three minutes against Raja Casablanca on 4 January, among only seven appearances this campaign.
Nku, who was also signed by Mokwena in July 2023 at The Brazilians, is currently training with Stellenbosch, in a reported deal that was triggered by Jayden Adams being signed by the Tshwane giants.
The former Sundowns coach also brought Zuko Mdunyelwa at Chloorkop from Chippa United in January last year and Mdunyelwa has been limited to three appearances this season and could be looking for game time elsewhere.
Other signings that were made with Mokwena as a head coach include Bathusi Aubaas, who is the only standout performer acquired locally from TS Galaxy.

Thapelo Maseko, also brought to Masandawana by the Soweto born coach, has been starved of game time this season, even sent to the Diski Challenge team to get proper minutes, as he has only been limited to six appearances in the first team.
The other signings made with Mokwena as a head coach at Sundowns since October 2022, also includes international transfers, with Berg completely in charge of them, as he oversaw the arrival of Lucas Ribeiro Costa, Tashreeq Matthews and Matias Esquivel.
