Mamelodi Sundowns have reached a decision on Divine Lunga’s contract at the club with the Zimbabwe international remaining at the club.
Lunga initially joined Sundowns from Golden Arrows ahead of the 2021/22 season on a two-year deal with an option of a further year.

However, after playing only a dozen games in his first season at Chloorkop, he then returned to the coastal outfit on loan for the 2022/23 campaign.
Upon his return, Lunga went into an agreement for a two-year deal with an option of a further year, which Sundowns have now triggered.
Beyond this optional year coming into effect from July 1, there is a possibility of another new deal for the left-footed player – who is nicknamed 'MacGyver' after the popular American television series.
This then means further talks before the end of the year.
The 30-year-old has been prominent in the CAF Champions League this season, playing nine of the 13 matches in that competition.

His multi-functionality has meant he can be used as a left-sided central defender, left-back, left-wingback or further up the pitch on the left, where he mostly played in his younger years back home in Mpopoma, Bulawayo.
With the FIFA Club World Cup coming up, Lunga has been excluded from the Warriors squad to play friendly matches in Morocco against Burkina Faso on June 6 and then Niger on June 10.
